The Smart is Strong Foundation's (SiS) mission statement is to reduce gender inequality in society by empowering young women to reach their highest educational and professional potential. In our first year, we've approached these goals by organizing an annual International Women's Day Conference, a college panel at a local high school, and providing college scholarships for high school women.
We will continue to build on this momentum with the launch of our mentorship program, the organization of the second annual International Women's Day Conference, and more collaborations with other women's rights organizations on and off-campus.
This charge towards our goals will be led not only by our returning members but our newest SiS members as well:
