The Smart is Strong Foundation Supports #FullDisclosure

The Smart is Strong Foundation joined First Generation Student Union (FGSU) to support their campaign: #FullDisclosure.

#FullDisclosure was organized to draw attention to the inequality embedded in legacy preferences in admissions decisions.

#FullDisclosure was started following a letter released by EdMobilizer - a network of student organizations aiming to create equitable pathways to broaden college access and success for undocumented, first-generation and/or low-income (UFLI) college students.

By signing this letter, The Smart is Strong Foundation agrees that Cornell University should fully disclose all internally written admissions policies and disaggregated data about legacy treatment and charge a joint committee of students, alumni, and administrators to re-evaluate the use of legacy status in the admissions process.

To further show our support, The Smart is Strong Foundation will temporarily change its Facebook profile picture with a customized frame.
